Our scouting practice supported by our professional network mainly focuses on:
• Talent
• Technical Skills
• Endurance
• Coordination
• Speed
But also soft skills like a player’s personality and social skills play a major role in our scouting system. Thanks to our cooperation with Universities we are always informed about recent developments in technology and science.
National and international player observations.
An excellent sense for spotting talents is the basis of the work of PlayersFriends scouts. But it takes more than talent for a player to become a professional. Only approximately a fifth of all youth players that play for a first league club at the age of 15 make it to a professional career. PlayersFriends is looking for players that possess not just the talent, but above all the will to be one of the best. PlayersFriends scouts accompany youth players and their parents along the most important phase in their professional career namely before they even start. They analyze, consult, promote, review and motivate. In order to do that they observe training and games and hold talks with the player and his parents and are in contact with the club’s or the national team’s coach.
If needed, they have access to nutritionists, performance and function diagnostics, sports psychologists and medical doctors. Close coordination with parents and the players club is one of the most important principles of our work. In order to be able to show a youth player the path, one has to have walked it himself. Only people that have years of experience in professional clubs, as coaches, scouts or professional players, can join the PlayersFriends Scout team.
In order to always have an accurate conception of an athlete´s current performance capacity, players are observed by a member of PlayersFriends Ltd. live and on a regular basis. Furthermore, regular contact is maintained with club managers in order to recognize developments and trends in advance.
